How to update the firmware of the Samsung professional monitor

To install 4yousee on a Samsung professional display with an embedded player, the firmware (the software that controls Samsung’s hardware) must be up to date. See below how to perform this procedure on the display. Even if the display is not the latest model, updating the firmware allows you to use the most recent features and can fix various issues.

You can update your professional display using a USB driveNetwork, or even via 4yousee Manager.

To do so, you will need to obtain the update file from the Samsung Support website. Follow the steps below to proceed with the update:

  1. Access the Samsung Support website.

2.Once the Support page opens, select the "Support" button located at the upper right corner.

        3.Click on "Tips & Manuals".

4.On this page, choose one of the options below to find your Professional Display model. To make your search easier, we recommend selecting "Enter model code".

5.Once the page loads, scroll until you find the desired item. In this case, click "Download" to obtain the item "Update File (USB type)".

6.After completing this step, save the Firmware Download to a removable disk drive.

Note: Most TVs will receive updates with new features for about two years. Updates after that period are usually intended to fix problems.

How to Update Using a USB Drive

If your Samsung Professional Display is not connected to the internet, a great option is to update it via a USB drive. To perform this process, you will need a USB flash drive and a PC connected to the internet.

1.Extract the contents of the update package and store them on the USB drive.

Note: Save the update file in the root directory of the USB drive so the display can locate it.

2.Insert the USB drive into the display’s USB port.

Notes:

  • Do not turn off the display, unplug the power cable, or remove the USB drive during the update. This can cause a firmware error.

  • You can find the model code in the menu Support > About This TV or on the back of the display.

  • Screenshots and device menus are only examples in English — they are also available in your country’s language.
